The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, has announced that it is to launch direct flights linking Hanoi and the coastal city of Quy Nhon in central Binh Dinh province, beginning with three flights per week as of January 16.
The new service is Vietnam Airlines’ 29th domestic route and is expected to boost economic, social and cultural exchanges between Hanoi and provinces in the Central Highland and south-central regions of the country. The new service will use 79-seat Fokker 70 planes and ticket prices will range from VND900,000 to VND1.69 million for each leg.
Vietnam Airlines will be offering discounted one-way tickets at VND 755,000 for all flights on this route between January 16-31. The airline currently offers daily flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon city, using Airbus A320 and ATR 72 aircraft.
